释义	上林苑①秦都咸阳时置。在今陕西西安市西渭水以南。始皇帝三十五年（前212）营建朝宫于苑中，阿房宫即其前殿。西汉初荒废，高帝十二年（前195）许民入苑开垦。武帝时收为宫苑，复加开拓，周围扩充至二百余里，地跨今周至县以东，蓝田县以西，秦岭以北，设水衡都尉，上林苑令、丞、尉等官专门管理。苑内种植名果异树及放养禽兽，以供皇帝游玩射猎，并建离宫、观、馆数十处。司马相如《上林赋》极言其侈。②东汉置。在今河南洛阳市东汉魏洛阳故城西。《后汉书·明帝纪》：永平十五年（72），“车骑校猎上林苑”。《后汉书·和帝纪》：永元五年（93），诏“自京师离宫、果园、上林、广成圃悉以假贫民，恣得采捕，不收其税”，皆即此。③南朝宋大明三年（459）置。在今江苏南京市玄武湖北。
