（1777—1844）清山西高平人，字竹轩，又字宗庵。嘉庆进士。授刑部主事，迁员外郎。道光四年（1824）出为河南盐粮道，五年迁浙江按察使。九年授刑部侍郎，寻为广西巡抚。十三年调广东巡抚。十八年任刑部尚书。二十一年靖逆将军奕山督师广东，奉命往治粮饷。琦善被革职后，升任两广总督。三元里人民痛击英军时，曾与奕山遣广州知府余保纯出面解围。次年兼署广东巡抚。二十三年疏陈粤民义奋，团练可用情状，旋以病乞休。卒谥恭恪。
